Being the O'Dougherty family...er...Dougherty family, we had to bring out our inner Irish this St. Patrick's Day. We all wore green, of course. We ate a traditional St. Patrick's Day meal, complete with green side dishes served on green plates. And we borrowed the tradition of our good friends the Phillips family, who used to put little green footprints -- you know, leprechaun footprints -- around their house for the kids to follow.
At the end of the trail was a pack of green gum for Olivia. She loved the whole event, but she's a little too smart for her own good. Watch the video below for her reaction.
Too funny. Mikey followed a very short trail of green footprints this year (I have yet to blog about it) and would never have dreamed about me cutting them out. Some are more easily duped I guess!
I love it. That is so Olivia. She is so smart and I just adore watching her learn in primary. She is such a sponge for knowledge. What a cute tradition I am feeling like I need some energy.
The leprechaun prints have been a hit at our house every year since we we first started having kids and I think they started with Marie Pulley, (Brooke's Grandma) years before that.

What a cute idea! Even though she wasn't easily fooled, she still didn't have a problem playing and getting a treat. I forsee years of fun with this.
It is funny that she wasn't even fazed! Love it!!!
She's a smart one! Great idea, Marie and Joseph.
