Pretty in pink

Here is Olivia before her first soccer game.

Below, Olivia is at her second soccer game, where she had her first try at being the goalie. This game was extra fun, because she played against the neighborhood boys. The boys won, 1-0.

To be honest, Olivia doesn't seem to care about soccer. She likes being the goalie, but when it comes to running around the field and chasing the ball, she doesn't get into it. She mostly shuffles around leisurely, waving to people or picking up litter. We even caught her picking her nose.

Click on the video below to watch Olivia's inaction -- er, I mean Olivia in action.

Below are Olivia and her friend Brandon after the game.

Here is Olivia with her friend Jack.

Below, we have Boston, Brandon and Olivia.

Good game, kiddies! Go Pink Flamingos AND Black Knights!

How is her hair still so curly? I thought for sure it would loosen up as she got older! So cute - looks like she's having fun, even if she's not the most excited athlete. Maybe she'd do better as a cheerleader?

Ha ha ha...loved that video! Nate, Claire, and I all watched it and when it was done I said, "How did Livvy do?" Claire's response, "pretty good." So at least she got Claire's stamp of approval!
Go Pink Flamingos!

That was so much fun. It is truly an entertaining spectacle, if nothing else.

We tried soccer 2 years ago for the first time. Elizabeth and Emilie were put on a team full of boys except for them. Emilie was running her heart out trying to keep up while Elizabeth was pretty much exactly like Olivia--not at all interested in expending that much energy. I am currently trying to convince them that they need to give soccer another try--this time on a team made up entirely of girls and also one where they actually play positions so they don't spend the entire time running up and down the field chasing the ball and end up totally pooped! BTW, I LOVE the pink socks along with the Flamingo name!

Aspen wants to play so bad! It will be interesting to see how she does once we sign her up in the spring! Olivia looks so cute in her uniform!
